This Privacy Policy explains how ShyBen Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”) processes personal data when you use Pikori (the “App”).

2. What data we process

Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following categories of personal data:

• Account data, such as your email address and authentication-related identifiers
• Profile data, such as your username, handle, avatar, profile settings, and discovery preferences
• User-generated content, such as uploaded images, videos, thumbnails, and related metadata
• Participation data, such as submissions, votes, bookmarks, achievements, leaderboard placements, streaks, friendships, and challenge participation
• Moderation and safety data, such as reports, account restrictions, bans, moderation actions, and related administrative records
• Feedback and support data, such as bug reports, feature requests, app version, and platform information
• Technical and security data, such as logs, service events, and information needed to maintain app security, reliability, and abuse prevention
• Advertising-related data, including data processed in connection with ads displayed in the App
• Age and eligibility data, such as your date of birth or age range, used to check whether you are old enough to use the App and to apply age-appropriate settings

3. Why we process your data

We process personal data in order to:

• create and manage user accounts
• provide core app features such as profiles, submissions, voting, leaderboards, achievements, bookmarks, friendships, and challenge participation
• store, display, and process user-generated content within the App
• review reports, moderate content, enforce our rules, and protect users
• prevent fraud, abuse, spam, vote manipulation, and security incidents
• respond to support requests and user feedback
• maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the functionality, safety, and reliability of the App
• display and manage advertising in the App
• comply with legal obligations and defend legal claims
• check user eligibility, apply age-appropriate safety settings, and comply with child-safety and privacy requirements

4. Legal bases

Where required by applicable law, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract: where processing is necessary to provide the App and its core functionality
• Legitimate interests: where processing is necessary for security, moderation, abuse prevention, service integrity, and related operational purposes
• Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law
• Consent: where required for optional processing, including certain advertising or privacy choices

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent for future processing at any time.

5. Advertising

The App may display ads, including ads provided by Google AdMob and, where applicable, its advertising partners.

These providers may process device identifiers, IP-related information, app interaction data, and other advertising-related information in order to deliver, measure, and, where permitted, personalize advertising.

Where required by law, we will request consent before personal data is used for personalized advertising or related purposes.

6. Camera access

If you choose to use features that capture photos or videos, the App may request access to your device camera.

Camera access is used only to enable features you actively choose to use, such as taking a profile photo or capturing content for a submission.

7. Who receives data

We may share personal data with:

• hosting, database, authentication, and storage providers
• infrastructure, support, and security providers
• advertising and related measurement providers
• analytics or crash-reporting providers, if used
• authorities, advisers, or other third parties where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service
• other users of the App, where your profile, avatar, submissions, rankings, or related activity are visible inside or in connection with the App

8. Visibility of uploaded content

Pikori is designed around daily creative challenges. When you upload or share content such as submissions, thumbnails, avatars, usernames, handles, leaderboard entries, and related profile or challenge information, that content may be visible to other users of the App.

Submission media is not accessible through permanent public storage links. However, submissions may be displayed to other users inside the App, including in voting, profiles, leaderboards, bookmarks, reports, and moderation tools.

Avatar images are publicly accessible through media links. Anyone who has access to such a link may be able to view or access the avatar image, even outside the App.

Other users may save, copy, download, screenshot, screen-record, or share content that is visible to them. For this reason, you should not upload content that you consider private, confidential, sensitive, or unsuitable for sharing with the Pikori community.

9. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by law, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards.

10. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

In general:

• account and profile data are kept while your account remains active
• uploaded content is kept while your account remains active, unless removed earlier by you, by moderation, or by operational necessity; cached copies, including cached data on users' devices, may remain temporarily according to technical retention practices
• reports may be retained in de-linked or partially de-linked form where necessary for moderation, abuse prevention, recordkeeping, or legal defense
• technical logs, security records, and backup copies may remain temporarily after deletion and are removed or allowed to expire according to infrastructure retention practices

11. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account from within the App.

When your account deletion is processed, we delete your active account data from the App's live systems, including your profile and associated uploaded media, and we also delete the related authentication account.

Some information may remain temporarily or in limited form, including:

• de-linked report records
• temporary backup copies
• cached copies, including cached data on users' devices, which may remain temporarily outside our direct control
• limited logs or records needed for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, moderation, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims

We process deletion promptly in normal operation, but backup, infrastructure, and cached copies may expire later rather than being removed instantly in every system or on every device.

12. Service shutdown

If we permanently discontinue the App, we may delete accounts, uploaded content, and related personal data from active systems as part of the shutdown process.

Where practicable, we may provide advance notice.

Limited data may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or records required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.

13. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• access your personal data
• correct inaccurate personal data
• request deletion of your personal data
• restrict certain processing
• object to certain processing
• receive a portable copy of certain data
• withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing
• lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority

Users in Austria may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.

14. Children and Younger Users

Pikori is intended for users aged 13 and older.

Users under the age of 13 may not create an account or use Pikori. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If you believe that a user under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can review the account and delete the data where appropriate.

If you are 13 or older but are not old enough under the laws of your country to consent to the processing of your personal data on your own, you may use Pikori only with permission from your parent or legal guardian.

Pikori is designed as a creative community app suitable for users aged 13 and older. Public challenges, submissions, profiles, avatars, usernames, handles, and other user content must follow our Community Rules and must be suitable for younger teens.

15. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

While we work to protect the App and user data, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, cyberattacks, service disruptions, data loss, or other security incidents will never occur. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for incidents caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that we have taken reasonable security measures and complied with our legal obligations.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice in the App or by other appropriate means.
